U+ ME = ♥

Hello, hello!
Over at Joy's Life Design Team blog we are sharing Joyful Hearts projects and since I don't have that stamp set, I decided to literally make joyful hearts :-)

The sentiment I chose is adorable! I actually have some Project Life tags planned using it.
The sentiment is from Sweet Popsicle Puns stamp set.
Here's a close up. :-) You can get yours HERE
I hope you can see some dimension in the picture below. I added foam tape to the sentiment mat and hearts.
The sentiment mat is from Twinkle Toes cartridge.
The two hearts are from Simply Charmed cartridge.

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Peachy Keen Guest Designer - I only want the candy

Hello everyone!
Today is a bittersweet day for me because it's my very last day as a Peachy Keen Guest Designer. I've really enjoyed my time as a guest designer and the Peachy Team has been wonderful and not to mention very welcoming.

For my last project I decided to alter a candy holder. I was waiting in line to pay at Michael's and then I spotted this candy tube. I knew right away it needed some peachy goodness!
I think I would have had to add over hundred hearts to include all the faces I wanted to include lol
The hearts and the scalloped heart shadows are from the Doodlecharms cartridge.
The banner that the sentiment is on is from the Stand and Salute cartridge.
The sentiment is from the Frankly... stamp set. Who would have thought right? :-)

This fun face is from the Happy Lashes assortment
This cute face is from the Funshine Face assortment
This bubbly face is from the Happy New Year face assortment
I paper pieced my heart out with Vivienne from the Vivienne and Friends stamp set

Happy Birthday Gift Card Holder

Hello everyone! TGIF right!?!
My husband went to Florida this week for work and is arriving today! Woo hoo!!
Anyway, today also happens to be my dad's birthday and since I've been manning everything at home this week I didn't have time to do some birthday shopping for him so I took a short drive to Michael's ... yes Michaels lol and bought a gift card. I took care of the rest with My Creative Time's Embossed Gift Card Holder die
The sentiment Happy Birthday is from MCT's Gift Card Sentiments stamp set.
I didn't do anything to the inside because I thought the paper was nice and I didn't want to overdo it with embellishments. The paper I used is from Echo Park's 12x12 Hello Summer Kit
The twine is Blue Berry from Trendy Twine.
The circle sentiment and cupcake are from My Creative Time's All Around Birthday Time stamp set. I used the stiched circle and scallop die also from My Creative Time.

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Project Life tags and a card :-)

Happy Thursday everyone!
This week we are showcasing winter themed projects over at Joy's Life Design Team blog. With Valentine's Day coming up, it seems we have forgotten all about Winter! Not this girl ;-)
I decided to make a few Project Life cards to swap and a card for the hostess using Joy's Wintery Puns stamp set.
I ♥ this set to pieces!
It has so many sentiments you can use throughout the year, not just Winter.
The heart is from the Graphically Speaking cartridge
You can see here how beautifully these stamps stamp.
Here's a card I made for the hostess of the swap.
The sentiment is also from the Wintery Puns stamp set!
All the pattern paper is from My Mind's Eye.
Here's a close up of the sentiment.
I've been practicing my bow makin' skills hehe

Peachy Keen - Guest Designer - Happy Valentine's Day

Hello Peachy Friends!

I'm back with another post for the Peachy Keen blog and all I can say is where has the time gone?! This month is almost over! =(
Anyway, I have bear fever! LOL I made two similar cards simply because I could not decide which products to use, I love all the peachy faces!

The bears are from the Teddy Bear Parade cartridge and are cut at 3 inches.
The sweet sentiment is from Peachy Keen's Cupid's Sting stamp set.
I really, really wanted to use both of these Peachy faces for the bears so I went ahead and made two cards, problem solved! The face on this bear is from Critter Faces Set A Large
I popped this little cutie on some foam tape for added dimension.
The face on this bear is my absolute favorite bear face! It's from an oldie, but goodie assortment, Rag Doll and Teddy Bear Face Assortment. Unfortunately this set is retired so if you have it, pull it out and use it!
The black crinkle ribbon is from 3 Girl Jam - Tuxedo
The doilies are from Target.
I also added this cutie on some foam tape for added dimension.
I'm not sure if were able to notice, but the background is stamped as well. I heat embossed the X's and O's background stamp and stamped with UTEE. This picture shows the background stamped a bit better.

Have a fun, crafty day!

Sing a song of happiness

Hello everyone and Happy Monday!
Over at Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog we have another challenge for you this week, Sound of Music. All you have to do is use something musical on your creation.
I love the pattern paper I used and did not want to cover it up, so I decided to just add one die cut. The paper is from DCWV's Celebration paper stack.
I actually created this cut in my Gypsy using Elmo's Party and Baby Steps cartridges.
The music note is from Elmo's Part and the hearts from Baby Steps and I just welded them together.
The sentiment is from My Pink Stamper's Music Speaks stamp set.
:-)

Please make sure to stop by and join the challenge HERE!

FROM MY HEART TO YOURS - CAS card

Hello everyone!
This week over at Joy's Life Design Team blog we are creating projects using a new technique. Last month the design team showcased different techniques and that's where I saw my DT sister Patty from Crafty Kitten use washi tape to cover a die cut. I have joined the washi tape craze and was eager to try this!
I decided to go with a C-A-S look because I wanted the focus to be on the hearts and sentiment.
Like she mentioned, it's better if you use a white piece of cardstock for the die cut because the washi tape is semi-transparent and other colors take away from the washi tape pattern.
The sentiment is from Wintery Puns, isn't it so versatile!?
I used this technique on two hearts and then I layered them with three layers of foam tape in between for dimension.
Here you can see the dimension better.

Peachy Keen - Guest Designer - Quacky Birthday

Hello Peachy friends!

I'm back with another post for the Peachy Keen blog

I made a quick little box that can fit anything from candy, a cupcake, or even small craft goodies.
This little duck is my all time favorite Peachy Keen character.  He's from the Duck and Egg Die! I didn't dress him up, but you could if you wanted to, click HERE to see the accessories! The Duck and Egg Die set comes with FOUR Peachy Keen faces and they all interchange beautifully.
The sentiment is from the Duck Dolls stamp set. The Duck Dolls and Duck and Egg Die go hand in hand!

Have a fun, crafty day!

Joy's Life Mini Book Blog Hop

Hello, hello!
Welcome to Joy's Life Design Team's Mini Book Blog Hop!
You should have arrived from Maria's blog, Joyful Stamper, if not make sure to start at Joy's Life! This blog hop is one for the books :-)

I purchased the Artiste cartridge bundle back when it came out, but had never gotten around to using the chipboard that it came with and this was the perfect time! All of the album pages are cut from the Artiste cartridge
Page 1: The sentiment "A surprise is in store for you" is from Joy's Life Tag You're It Number One stamp set.

Page 2: The sentiment "U + Me = ♥" is from Joy's Sweet Popsicle Puns. I made the tag by using my corner chomper (1/4") on the bottom two corners and the corner chomper (scallop) on the top two corners. I inked around the tag with Tea Dye distress ink.
Page 3: The photo mat is 3.25 x 3.25 and will fit a 3x3 photo.

Page 4: The sentiment "You are a treasure" is from Joy's You're So Punny stamp set.
Page 5: The photo mat is 3.25 x 3.25 and will fit a 3x3 photo.

Page 6: The sentiment "A Whole Latte Love" is from Joy's You're So Punny stamp set.
Page 7: The photo mat is 3.25 x 3.25 and will fit a 3x3 photo.

Page 8: The photo mat is 3.25 x 3.25 and will fit a 3x3 photo.
Page 9: The sentiment "Hugs & Kisses" is from Joy's Wintery Puns stamp set.
I left the back simple :-)

All of the pattern paper is all from Echo Park's Yours Truly paper pad. I really didn't want to add die cuts/embellishments because I love the paper and did not want to cover it up.

Love Always

** To view my Peachy Keen Guest Design post click HERE **

Hello everyone!

Over at Joy's Life Design Team blog we have and will continue to show you projects with new products/supplies that we have had in our stash collecting dust lol

It's as if time is zooming on by right?! My sister's friends are Hello Kitty fans so she bought a set of Hello Kitty pens and lead pencils and is planning on giving them to her friends for Valentine's Day and asked for help creating packaging for them. I thought this was the perfect time to use these tiny glassine bags I got a LONG time ago and had yet to use them.
I made two bags to show you how easy it is to decorate these bags.

I stamped onto the bag on the left directly with Memento ink.
The "love always" and heart stamp on the left bag are from Joy's Life Tag You're It Number 1 stamp set.  For the flags/banners, I simply cut two pieces of scrap paper.
This picture below is also of the bag I stamped directly on, I just added a white piece of paper inside to make the stamp stand out more. I think the bag still looks nice with or without the paper, doesn't it?
For the second bag, I stamped everything onto a white piece of paper and then glued it to the bag. "love always" and the heart with flourish are from Joy's Life Tag You're It Number 1 stamp set. The heart in the center surrounded by hearts is from Joy's Life Lots of Pun stamp set.

Peachy Keen Guest Designer! -Thinking of you!

Hello everyone!

I am over the moon with excitement to be a guest designer this month for Peachy Keen Stamps! Yep, I said Peachy Keen Stamps! I still can't believe it! :)

Today I'm bringing you a very fast and easy way to package a box of chocolate for your sweetie, perhaps for Valentine's Day ;)
First, I paper pieced the bear from the newly released Thinking of You Bear stamp set. Isn't it adorable?!
I masked the bear and stamped the heart twice on the red polka dot paper. Then, I heat embossed the sentiment, also from the same stamp set.
After, I mounted the heart with the sentiment on some foam tape on top of the other heart.
Here you can see the dimension better. I added foam tape underneath the bear as well. Lastly I added the bear on three layers of cardstock.

You can find this stamp set along with the entire new release HERE
