Happy Valentine's Day & Lucky Me Having You In My Life!

Hello, hello!
Happy Valentine's Day everyone!!

I put this "little something" together for my husband to get the day started.
He's a real sweetheart and truly amazing! ♥

I will be writing a sweet message in the notecard, but didn't want to bore you with all the sappy stuff LOL

This sentiment always, always, ALWAYS makes me think of my hubby so I couldn't help but to use it on this notecard. The sentiment "Lucky Me..." is from Joy's You're So Punny stamp set.

Both "enjoy" and "xoxo" are from the Sweet Popsicle Puns stamp set. I am not kidding when I say you can use this stamp set year round! It's such a sweet set.

The heart is from the George and Basic Shapes cartridge. I bought a pack of craft library cards at my local scrapbook store and I have been hoarding them for about a year now LOL time to use them! I used Tea Dye and Worn Lipstick Distress Inks to ink around the edges.

That nifty little candy tube can also be found on Joy's shop HERE, just click on Craft Containers!

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Happy Holidays Blog Hop

Hello everyone and welcome to Joy's Life Design Team Happy Holidays Blog Hop! You should have arrived from Laura's blog, Laura's Crafts & More. If you just happened to stop by, make sure to start at Joy's Life! You don't want to miss a thing!

I've really been enjoying making treat holders and when I saw the pillow boxes that Joy carries I just knew I had to use them for Christmas treats! You can get some HERE, just click on craft containers. :-)
Decorating this pillow box was so easy, fast, and fun! You see that cute snowman? He's from the brand new stamp set Oh, Christmas Puns! I stamped him on a small rectangle mat and used copic markers to color him. Then I used my corner chomper - 1/8 rounder to round the edges. After, I used Tim Holtz Dried Marigold distress ink to ink around the edges of the mat.

This "fa la la la la" sentiment is also from Oh, Christmas Puns stamp set! This set is exploding with cuteness right?!
For the back I used a Martha Stewart punch for the edges and the paper is from My Mind's Eye.

Time for Blog Candy!
Peachy Keen's Boy Mate's 1 1/8th stamp set.

I'm super excited that I was asked to be a guest designer for Exploring Cricut today! Check out the blog HERE and make sure to follow for DAILY Cricut inspiration ;-)

I recently got the Dr. Checkup cartridge, which I have been eyeing for a while, and love it! I love to use Peachy Keen faces and this cartridge is perfect for them!

The girl is from the Dr. Checkup cartridge and the shopping bags she's holding are from the Doodlecharms cartridge
Her darling face is from Peachy Keen's Cherub Faces assortment. The mat that she's on is the XL Label Die from My Creative Time.
You can see she's mounted on foam tape for dimension. The sentiment is from Scrappy Moms Stamps, Winter Wishes. I inked around the edges of the mats with Tim Holtz Walnut Stain Distress Ink.

Thank you so much for stopping by and make sure to check out Exploring Cricut for your Cricut fix ;-)

I know Thanksgiving is just around the corner, but so is Christmas! I'm trying to not fall behind on my cards this year so I've been getting a head start.
For my card I used the brand new stamp set Oh, Christmas Puns. I just love it!
This cute little tree is from the Winter Frolic cartridge
Here is a closer look at the sentiment. Get yours HERE
Here's a close up of the tree. :-) I used Crystal stickles to create the glitter border.
I used Tim Holtz Walnut Distress Ink to ink around the edges.

I'm not sure if you can see, but I used foam tape to give the mats some dimension.

Take a look at the new stamp set. You can get yours HERE

give thanks

Hello everyone and welcome to another Made Especially for You challenge! Since October is gone, we are getting a head start on our Thanksgiving cards over at MEFY! This week's challenge is to create a Thanksgiving card using Kraft cardstock.

The image is a digi from The Stamping Boutique, it's called Pumpkin Pie
The sentiment is from Joy's Life's stamps: It's All Fall Puns stamp set.
The border at the bottom is from a Martha Stewart punch.. I'm not exactly sure of the name, but I believe it's Lace. I inked the edges with Tim Holtz Walnut Stain Distress Ink and then pop dotted it onto a another layer of the border.

Please make sure to join us HERE for a chance to win three digital stamps from The Stamping Boutique - winner's choice!

Boo

Hello, hello.
Over at Joy's Life Design Team blog, you will be seeing all sorts of projects this week! Be prepared to be wowed! :o)
I decided to make a Halloween card using non-traditional colors.
The little ghost is from Paper Doll Dress Up cartridge.
The sentiment is from Joy's Life stamps, Halloween Puns stamp set.  I just love it!
The face on this little ghost is from Peachy Keen's In Stitches assortment set.
The crinkle ribbon is Baby Boy from 3 Girl Jam. Since it's a Halloween card, I decided to ink it up and give it a little darker look. I inked it up with Faded Jeans and Black Soot Distress Inks.

Trick or Treat

Hi everybody! Over at Joy's Life design team blog we will be showcasing 3D projects!
I was going through a few Halloween blog hops this past week and couldn't help but notice that the coffin from Artiste makes an amazing candy holder! I was inspired especially by one project, but I'm sorry to say I forgot the blog it was from.
I really had a lot of fun creating this project. Although I don't make 3D projects, I enjoy them a lot!
Spoiler Alert: TONS of pictures and details!

The coffin and spider web are from the CTMH Artiste cartridge. I just ♥ this cartridge to pieces! It really has everything for every occasion, theme, etc!

The sentiment is from Joy's Life Halloween Puns stamp set.
I've never used this stamp before because I was a little intimidated by it. I wasn't sure if it would stamp completely, if it would come out blotchy, etc.... but not to worry.. it stamped PERFECTLY! I love the quality of these stamps!

The paper I used is from Michael's Recollection's Midnight Magic stack. I inked around the edges with Spiced Marmalade and Dusty Concord Distress Inks to give it more of a Halloween look. I took a close up of the paper so you can see all of the fun Halloween words it has. :o)

The crinkle ribbon is from 3 Girl Jam (Antique White). I also inked the crinkle ribbon with Spiced Marmalade and Dusty Concord Distress Inks
The twine is Orange Licorice from Trendy Twine.
The coffin is holding some yummy treats.
Side view. The coffin was cut at 7.5 inches.
Side view again. The spider web was cut at 2.75 inches.

Thank you so much for stopping by!
Have a fun, crafty day!

Fall Ball Blog Hop

Welcome to the Fall Ball Blog Hop, brought to you by the design teams of Made Especially For You and I Heart {ippity}!

Today we're happy to share with you all sorts of fall-themed projects to get you in the mood for a season full of crisp leaves, bountiful pumpkin patches, warm apple cider, and all those other things we love that make fall such a wonderful time of year.

If you've come from Gerry's blog, Gerry's Scrappy Life you're in the right place. If you just came across the hop and would like to start at the beginning, please visit Made Especially For You.

For my project, I created a layout! I can't even  begin to tell you how behind I am on layouts! Anywhoo! When I was looking for cardstock for my project, I found all of these patterns and colors that reminded me of Autumn and I didn't want to put any down! So I decided to create a layout and have the paper more visible rather than cluttering it with die cuts. While making this layout, I fell in love Tim Holtz Walnut Stain Distress Ink. I just ♥ it!!!
(Click photos to enlarge)

So here are the deets:
"Fall" is from Graphically Speaking cartridge.
"is in the air" is from Lyrical Letters cartridge... as you can tell, I didn't use a rule or anything to make sure they were straight lol..
The apple is from Give a Hoot cartridge
The sentiment is from Joy's Life BRAND NEW set, It's All Fall puns
Tim Holtz Walnut Stain Distress Ink to ink around some edges.

We also have some wonderful sponsors giving away prizes to those who comment on every stop of the hop!

Halloween Inspired Wooden Frame

Hello again everyone!! Over at Joy's Life DT, we will be showing you all sorts of Fall Home Decor projects this week! How fun is that! When I think of Fall, I think of oranges, browns, muted greens and yellows, and Halloween! Yes, I said Halloween! For my project, I embellished a wooden frame I picked up at Ikea. You can pick this up at any craft store like Michael's, Joann's, etc. It was Halloween inspired :-)
So here is how I created this. First, I used different colors of paint to outline the frame. Once it dried, I used Tim Holtz Black Soot Distress Ink and went over the paint to give the colors a muted look instead of having bright colors.
Aren't these bottles cute?! Well these bottles and the rest of the images are cuts from a 12x12 sheet of cardstock I had picked up at my local scrapbook store TWO years ago! LOL
The sentiment is from Halloween PunsI love this stamp set! You can really do so much with it, not just Halloween projects! The sentiment mat is a tag from Once Upon a Princess cartridge.
Here's a side view. I pop dotted the sentiment mat to give it some dimension, I hope you can see it.

Hello, hello! It's time for another Challenge Me Monday challenge over at Fantabulous Cricut! This week's challenge is Trains, Planes, & Automobiles. All you have to do is Make a project using some sort of transportation (Bus, Plane, Train, Car, Bike, Etc).
The airplane is from Pack Your Bags cartridge and the cloud is from Create a Critter cartridgeI used Tim Holtz Vintage Photo Distress Ink to randomly ink up the cuts to give them a different look. The sentiment is from Joy's Life - Pun In The Sun stamp set.
I added pop dots on both the airplane and cloud for dimension.
My card is very simple, but that is because I didn't want to cover the darling pattern paper! Crazy, I know! The plane paper is from Bo Bunny's On the Go collection.

Anywho, don't forget to stop by Fantabulous Cricut and join the challenge HERE!! :o)

Hope you heal quickly!

Hello and happy Monday crafty friends! Over at Made Especially for You, we have another challenge! This week's challenge is a sketch challenge and here is my take on it!
For my card, I cut the background pattern paper with my trimmer and then used Tim Holtz Mustard Seed Distress Ink to ink up the edges. All of the paper used (except the black cardstock for the base) is from Fancy Pants Time for Spring paper pad.
For the squared frame, I doodled a square with the lines overlapping instead of the usual faux stitching. I must say, I really like it. Crabby Cathy is actually a digi from Bugaboo Stamps, you can find her HERE
I imagined Crabby Cathy, sick Cathy hehe so I added this sentiment from Peachy Keen's Thank You Dolls stamp set.

Here's the sketch:
Don't forget to join in this week's challenge! The winner will receive 7 images from Bugaboo Stamps - winner's choice!

Have a fabulous, crafty day!
