A Treat for You

For my project, I created this sweet card. 
The ice cream cone is from the Simply Charmed cartridge. The faces on the scoops are from Peachy Keen's Princess Faces 1 1/8 set.  The darling sentiment is from Joy's Life's Sweet Popsicle Puns. 
Here's a close up of the sentiment. 
I added some Crystal stickles to the scoops of ice cream. I inked around the polka dot paper with Tim Holtz Spiced Marmalade distress ink. I embossed the cone with the Tiny Bubbles Cuttlebug folder.

Mission Impossible

Good morning everyone! It's time for another Krafty Girls challenge! This week's challenge is Mission Impossible. All you have to do is create a paper craft that someone helped you create by embossing, designing, cutting, or doing anything that helps you finish your project. You could have your spouse, children, neighbor, friend, etc help you on this challenge. 

For my card, my assistant was my lovely husband. He tries to be involved with my crafting so I try to teach him everything I can in the few minutes that he has available. He helped me by embossing the mat with the Cuttlebug Polka Dots embossing folder. 


The cake is found in the From My Kitchen cartridge (Page 62, Button 35) and the fork is from the Baby Steps cartridge (Page 38, Button 18). The mat that they're on... I can't remember, sorry :-( 
The sentiment is from My Pink Stamper's Sweetest Cupcakes set.

Ladybug Hugs

Don't Bug Me! Hehe that's the name of our challenge this week over at Fantabulous Cricut! All you have to do is make a project using some sort of bug

This ladybug is from the Birthday Bash cartridge. I just couldn't resist cutting her out in pink. 
The mat she's on is from the Elegant Edges cartridge. 
I inked the edges of EVERYTHING with Vintage Photo distress ink. 
Her face is from Peachy Keen's Funshine Face Assortment. 
The sentiment "Ladybug Hugs" is from Pink By Design's Simply Everything set. 
I added her on some foam to give her dimension.

You're the en-TIE-re package!

Wow! It's already June, boy does time fly! We're a couple of weeks shy of Father's Day, but over at Made Especially for You we want to get your ideas flowing already with a Father's Day cards. The challenge this week is to create a Father's Day card using chipboard. 

I hardly ever make "manly cards" and I have to say, this is as manly as I was able to get LOL I know, not the manliest. 

The tie is from Summer Celebrations cartridge (page 40, button 19). I hid the striped layers using my Gypsy and instead of cutting the "knot" a different color, I cut it with the same paper.
The sentiment mat is from Twinkle Toes cartridge. I inked the edges of both cuts with Vintage Photo distress ink.
The face on the tie is from Peachy Keen's Boy Mates assortment. 
The sentiment "You're the en-TIE-re Package!" is from Scrappy Moms The Charmed Life set. 
The inside sentiment is actually made up of two Scrappy Moms stamp sets. "Specially for You" is from Sweet Somethings and "Dad" is from For the Boys. 
As for the chipboard, sometimes we gotta work with what we have and don't have... I didn't have any chipboard so I decided to use a cereal box as "chipboard". Worked great! 
I cut the shadow of the tie with my "chipboard". 
Also, this is the first card I made using an Action Wobble, but it was a little too big... so I trimmed it :-) 
Here are the best two pictures I was able to take with the Action Wobble at work. 
 
Oh, and all of the pattern paper is from Echo Park, I just ♥ their paper!

Giveaway, news, and ramblings :-)

Hello crafty friends ♥

I was a little undecided if I wanted to celebrate a "blogaversary" because I created my blog in March 2011, BUT didn't post anything until JUNE 1st! My hubby encouraged me, saying it's been a year of blogging so why not celebrate! 


When I first created it, I didn't think I'd enjoy it as much as I do. It truly makes me happy and I have met so many wonderful "bloggy friends". I am very lucky that my husband is very encouraging and pushes me to go forward, although he can be one tough critic on me LOL 

Before we get to my giveaway, I have some exciting news to share with you!
