Krafty Girls

Hello, hello :)
I hope everyone had a fun and safe 4th of July weekend!
Welcome to another Krafty Girls Challenge. This week's challenge is to create any paper craft and use a die cut. Easy peasy! :)

I'm so behind on my Project Life album that I thought this would be a perfect way to work toward catching up! I created a "weekly card". I used a few die cuts here. I used the flag banner die cuts from My Creative Time. Also from My Creative Time, is the curly label die.

The wood veneer is from Michaels and the thickers are from Marshalls ($1.49 or $1.99 - can't remember).

Please link up your crafty, die cut creations HERE :)

Rock on!!

Hello everyone and welcome to another Krafty Girls challenge

This week's challenge is to create any paper craft that has a musical theme. I created a card that I plan on giving away to a friend for her birthday next month. You can never start too early, right? :)

This awesome rocker chick is from the Rock Princess cricut cartridge. I had forgotten how much I love, love, love my cricut.
Her rockin' face is from Peachy Keen's Laughy Taffy stamp set.

I'm not sure if you can tell, but I added glossy accents to her "bracelet" :)
The crinkle ribbon is Goblin Green from 3 Girl Jam's Spooky Bundle.
The twine is Honeydew from The Twinery.
The green faux stitching is from a Sakura Souffle Gelly Roll pen. These pens are amazing on black paper!

The sentiment is from Pink By Design's Rock On stamp set.
I blinged out her boots with Icicle or Crystal stickles. I mixed the bottles and couldn't remember which one I used. :(

Summer Lovin'

♫ Summer lovin' had me a blast, met a boy cute as can be ♫

I just couldn't get this song out of my head after using this sentiment.
It's time for another Krafty Girls challenge!! This week's challenge is to create a paper project that follows the theme, Fun the the Sun. Anything that inspires you about summer.

I made this card for my co-worker, she recently got married and went to Hawaii for her honeymoon and is returning tomorrow although here in California it's starting to feel like summer already!

This darling girl is from Life's a Beach cartridge.
Her face is from Peachy Keen's Princess Face assortment
The sentiment is from Pink by Design's Simply Everything

Does that cloud paper look familiar?? Well I just used it on my project a few days ago and had this scrap left over and I just couldn't bear to skip using it! I just had to trim a little and perfect!
It's from Echo Park's Hello Summer paper pad.

Mission Impossible

** Click HERE for my blogaversary giveaway **

Good morning everyone! It's time for another Krafty Girls challenge! This week's challenge is Mission Impossible. All you have to do is create a paper craft that someone helped you create by embossing, designing, cutting, or doing anything that helps you finish your project. You could have your spouse, children, neighbor, friend, etc help you on this challenge.

For my card, my assistant was my lovely husband. He tries to be involved with my crafting so I try to teach him everything I can in the few minutes that he has available. He helped me by embossing the mat with the Cuttlebug Polka Dots embossing folder.

The cake is found in the From My Kitchen cartridge (Page 62, Button 35) and the fork is from the Baby Steps cartridge (Page 38, Button 18). The mat that they're on... I can't remember, sorry :-(
The sentiment is from My Pink Stamper's Sweetest Cupcakes set.

Thanks for looking and have a fabulous week!

Kopy Kat

Hello everybody! Over at Krafty Girls we have a fun challenge, Kopy Kat! You have to create a paper craft that is "scraplifted" from someone else that inspires you.

I scraplifted this card from the very talented Nikki from Scrappin' Navy Wife. I cannot say how amazed I am by each one of her projects. I started following her blog when I had just gotten my cricut and continue to visit her for inspiration. .

The card base (welded) and the scissors are from Cricut Everyday. The sentiment is from Pink by Design.
I heat embossed the sentiment with white embossing powder.

Here's Nikki's original creation, go here for her post on it.

Planet Earth!

** Click HERE for my 100th follower giveaway ♥ **

Hello and welcome to another Krafty Girls challenge! This week's challenge is to create a card, scrapbook layout, 3D object, or home decor project that has an Earth Day theme or has something on it that's been recycled.

I made a card for a friend of mine that plans out "a beach clean up" on or close to Earth Day every year!
Both the girl and boy are from Paper Dolls Teen Scene cartridge. I flipped the boy using the gypsy so he could face the girl :) Everything else was hand cut.  The sentiment is from a set I picked up at Michaels, but I cant remember the name :(
Don't you just LOVE their peachy faces!?
Her face is from Peachy Keen's Laughty Taffy assortment and his is from the Retro Paper Doll Face assortment. I think these two sets look awesome on these dolls!

For Peep's Sake

For peep's sake, what's going on with blogger! I'm so sorry my post is so late, I had it scheduled but not sure what happened & it's gone! I JUST got home from Jury Duty soooo here it is. It's time for Krafty Girls Challenge #4 which is For Peep's Sake! All you have to do is create a scrapbook page, card, 3D item, or home decor project that incorporates Easter.
For my super simple card I used 3 Birds on Parade Cartridge for the bird, bunny ears, and the cracked egg. The grass is from Sports Mania.
I REALLY REALLY REALLY wanted to use a peachy face but I recently bought enamel accents, which are similar to liquid pearls and I really wanted to try them out for eyes.
I also coated "the inside" of the ears with Crackle Accents (not sure if you can tell in the picture, but in real life it actually looks cracked SO COOL!) The sentiment is from My Creative Time's Color Me Happy

Krafty Girls #3

It's time for another Krafty Girls challenge! Challenge # 3 is to create a card, scrapbook layout, 3D object, or home decor project with a handmade flower somewhere on it.
For my card today I welded the shadow of the flower to a small rectangle, then onto a larger one, making the base.
This is how it looks closed, flat. The flower and its base are from Country Life.
This is how it looks open. I created my own "design" for the vase by just stamping different stamps with versamark ink and then heat embossing them with white powder. After, I just colored the base pink with Spun Sugar distress ink.
This is the side view, while open. I inked around the edges of the base with Wild Honey distress ink. For the flowers, I just cut the flowers three times each :)

Feelin' Lucky?

Top o' the morning and welcome to another Krafty Girls challenge! Challenge #2 is Feelin' Lucky? - create a card, scrapbook layout, 3D object, or home decor project with a St. Partick's Day theme.
Here's my card:
I've been wanting to use this cute girl for quite some time already! She's from the Rock Princess cartridge. The shamrocks are from Paper Doll Dress Up.
I even added a little belt made out of twine. Her shoes are made out of stickles.
The sentiment is from Scrappy Moms Stamps The Charmed Life.
I pop-dotted her for some dimension.
The scalloped border is actually a border from the Art Philosophy cartridge. I duplicated it and welded it with a rectangle in the center.
I almost forgot, her face is from the Laughy Taffy face assortment from Peachy Keen... I bought it a LONG time ago because I loved it, but had yet to used it lol

Dont forget to join here and thank you so much for looking!

Krafty Girls Challenge #1

It's FINALLY here!! Krafty Girls is up and running! You should have arrived from Chris' blog, If not, make sure you start from the beginning over at Krafty Girls -you dont want to miss a thing! :)  Challenge # 1 is to create a card, scrapbook layout, 3D object, or home decor project that represents where you're from/live.

I live in southern California, and even better -within 20 minutes from the beach!
"I" is from All Mixed Up cartridge, the heart is from Baby Steps, and "Cali" is also from Baby Steps [just welded]. The sentiment is from My Creative Time's This & That set.
The palm tree is from Summer Vacation and the gal is from Pack Your Bags. Her face is from Peachy Keen's Christmas Character Face assortment.
The ferris wheel is also from Summer Vacation.  The reason I added a ferris wheel is because I ♥ ferris wheels and the closest beach to us is Newport Beach/Balboa Beach and they have a ferris wheel [like other beaches like the Pike in Long Beach, Santa Cruz boardwalk, and the most known the Santa Monica pier] =)
and my favorite cricut sun is from Doodlecharms -its face is from Pks' Happy Lashes assortment.
