We are a great pear

Hello everyone! This week Joy's Life Design Team will be showcasing projects that include food.
With the holiday rush you might not have time to make a big breakfast, but who says you can't make a quick and thoughtful one?
Before we headed to do some shopping Saturday I made my hubby a quick Nutella and pear toasted sandwich along with a card. He truly is the best because he's so patient with my crafting addiction hobby ;-) We really are a great "pear".

This sentiment is from Joy's Yummy Puns stamp set. This set is so fun!
As hard as I tried I could not get a good photo with both the card and sandwich together. We've been having rain and overcast these past days.
The card base is my absolute favorite shaped card from a cartridge. It's from Wild Card cartridge. The pears are from the From My Kitchen cartridge. I can't remember which cartridge the bows are from, I just hit the search button on the Gypsy and searched bow.
The pattern paper is from Echo Park. Here you can see the pears are on foam for dimension.

Have a fun, crafty day!

Back to School gift card holders :-)

Hello everybody! Over at Joy's Life DT, we are showing you Back To School projects. My brother will be starting middle school this fall and my sister will be starting high school! Wowza! I cannot believe how time flies! I made a gift card holder for each of them so they can go back to school shoppin'!
I don't know about you, but I had no clue this handy dandy gift card holder was in the Wild Card cartridge! I cut it at 4.5 inches (I would recommend cutting it a teeny bit smaller, maybe 4.45 or 4.4 inches, because the slits were a little far apart, but it still fit). The gift card holder doesn't come with the scallop border though, I had to weld it with the Gypsy. The border is from the Martha Stewart Elegant Cake Art cartridge
This sentiment is from Joy's Father & Son stamp set! You can mix and match the sentiments! How cool is that!
Here's a a closer look. The pattern paper is from DCWV's Grade School stack.
This is what you see when you open it.
This is the one I made for my sister. The pattern paper is from DCWV's Celebration stack.
The sentiment is from Joy's Pun in the Sun stamp set!
This is how they look when opened. I haven't bought the gift cards yet, so I just used this Kohl's card to sample it. :-)

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Lucky

Hello and Happy Monday!
It's time for another Fantabulous Cricut Challenge! Today's challenge is Luck of the Irish! All you have to do is make a project using a shamrock or the color green. Easy peasy!

This cute little fella is from Simply Charmed. The spinner card base is from Wild Card.
As you turn the knob, the cute faces keep coming! The face above and below are both from Peachy Keen's Happy Lashes set!
The shamrocks are from Paper Doll Dress Up. The "beer mug" is from Gypsy Wanderings.
(sorry for the bad lighting!) The face above and below are from PK's Wide Eyed Kids Face assortment.
The sentiment is from My Creative Time,
I used Spiced Marmalade and Vintage Photo to ink around the edges of the hair and beer.

Thanks for looking and join in on the fun here!

Spinner Card - Take One

Hello! The card I made today has a short story to it. A few months ago I was checking out Miss Glora's blog from Glora's Crafts.. she had this cuuuute spinner card with a doll from twinkle toes that had a sad and happy face.. so I showed my husband. Fast forward a couple months later, we're discussing something and I got a little upset, so he tells me I should make myself a card that has changeable faces like the card I had showed him. I laughed sooo hard, I couldn't believe he remembered lol!!! So I decided to create one :) You can see her card/inspiration here.

Let me warn you, the card didn't end up as it should have. Maybe because I started shifting the circle lol but it's "okay" for my first try at a spinner card lol

Happy Face :)
Sad face :(
Angry face >:-(
Hahaha this is how horrible the inside came out lol If I wouldn't have cut it, there would have been a BIG piece of paper sticking out.. bigger than this lol Note to self: Don't mess with the basics!!
